Besides the duties of President, I’m also a member of the Miller Gesko Wealth Management Investment Advisory Committee, I oversee the Income and Estate Tax Departments, and I manage our Sarasota, Florida office.

I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done since starting the company in 1969. It’s gratifying to see so many generations of families benefit from our hard work.

I believe in community involvement and I’m active in many community organizations. I was on the Board of Directors for Easter Seals of Southwest Florida for nine years before taking on my current role as Chairman of Fundraising Activities. I’m a proud Rotarian and previously served as President of the Sarasota Gulf Gate Rotary Club. I’m also a member of the Client Advisory Board of Federated Investors in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

My wife Linda and I live in Sarasota, Florida.  We have 12 grandchildren. One of my granddaughters lives in Sarasota, and I love coming home every afternoon to her in my pool. In our spare time, my wife and I really enjoy playing golf and taking cruises.

I work extensively with our clients, helping them manage all aspects of their financial legacies. I’m also responsible for Miller Gesko operations and management of the firm. I actively participate in portfolio management, serving as a member of the Miller Gesko Investment Advisory Committee.

Before joining Miller Gesko in 1999, I was a retirement planning specialist. While working at a comprehensive provider of third party benefits and financial services, I specialized in the areas of group defined benefit plans, Traditional IRA’s, Roth IRA’s, and estate protection using investment and insurance vehicles, including long term care. Previously, I was Vice-President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of an international specialty lighting company.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver, and I’m a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. I‘m a member and past president of the Financial Planning Counselors of Western New York and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Western New York.

I have served on several local boards, primarily focused on issues of mental health and the environment. I’m currently on the executive board and I’m past president of CMH Counseling, a non-profit agency specializing in helping individuals with emotional and mental health issues.

My passions outside of the office are my wife, my daughter, my dog, my boat and my motorcycle. I also enjoy skiing when the conditions are favorable.

Account Manager

I’ve worked at Miller Gesko Wealth Management for 27 years and as an Account Manager I take pride in giving special attention to every client. Some of my duties include executing trades, organizing taxes and quarterly tax estimates for our clients along with the quarterly client reviews. I also execute cash distributions; pay bills for clients and answer any questions clients may have. I’d like to think we’re a personal business “family” office because we treat our clients like family. I truly enjoy my co-workers. We’re a close-knit team and we all work well together. It’s just a great company to work for—I should know; I’ve been here the longest.

I have an Associates degree in accounting from Bryant and Stratton Business Institute. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors. I love camping, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. I have two children that keep me busy. Being a mom has helped me to become an expert in multi-tasking.

Managing Director of Client Services

I’ve been on the Miller Gesko Wealth Management team since 2007. After graduating from the University of Dayton with a degree in Public Relations and Marketing I couldn’t find any work in my field, so I took a temporary position with Miller Gesko. I had no intention of staying in the financial industry but the close-knit family atmosphere sucked me in. My coworkers would joke that it's easy to become a "Lifer" here, but I'd say, "not me!”  All these years later, I am still here and it looks like Miller Gesko has made a "Lifer" out of me! I have really grown to love the business, my coworkers and our clients. The partners have helped me to grow and advance my career.  I’m currently transitioning from the operations side of the business to the investment and client relations side.

When I'm not at work, I travel a lot, mostly to California, where my parents spend their winters. If I'm not traveling, I like to take advantage of all Buffalo has to offer—great food, great bars and great sports teams. I’m a Buffalo Bills season ticket holder, and I enjoy tailgating with family and friends for each home game. I BILLieve this is our year! GO BILLS!

Jeanene M. Maliske

Account Manager

I’ve been with Miller Gesko since 1998. I have a lot of energy, and as an Account Manager, I think it’s important I share my enthusiasm with my clients. I make sure I’m easily accessible to help with anything that needs to be done — just as I would do for a family member. I pride myself on my attention to detail, which is essential when it comes to reconciling accounts. I’m extremely grateful to be working for a company as fantastic as Miller Gesko. My co-workers are amazing, and I truly enjoy being a part of the Miller Gesko team. I graduated from Erie Community College with an Associates degree in Office Technology.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me either at the gym or exploring one of the many restaurants and festivals that Buffalo has to offer. I also love spending time with my quirky family members.
